Courtesy of Fearless RecordsI Prevail has shared a new version of “Hurricane,” the current single off the band’s Grammy-nominated 2019 album, Trauma.
The updated recording, dubbed “Hurricane (Reimagined),” strips down the song into an acoustic ballad. You can download it now via digital outlets.
“‘Hurricane’ is one of the most important songs on Trauma,” I Prevail says. “It was one of the first tracks we wrote for the album and it became a pillar in building the central message and sound we wanted to create.”
“From the day we wrote it, there was a vision for a stripped-down version of the song that would allow us to explore more delicate instrumentation, production, and vocals,” the band adds. “This version definitely brings to life a different mood and atmosphere to experience the track.”
Trauma was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2020 Grammys. Additionally, the group’s single, “Bow Down,” got a nod for Best Metal Performance.
