The track, available now for digital download, is about our over-reliance on technology, which frontman Randy Blythe feels has become more relevant amid the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
“It is indeed a scary time,” Blythe says. “But in this hyper-connected age with its 24/7 never-ending news cycle of atrocity, outrage and lurid click-bait headlines (not to mention ill-informed lunatics running amok and spreading misinformation and panic on social media), it is all too easy to lose sight of the fact that life is still carrying on, and good things do in fact still happen.”
Lamb of God the album, which also includes the previously released song “Checkmate,” is due out May 8.
Last week, Lamb of God postponed their European tour due to COVID-19. They’re scheduled to launch a co-headlining U.S. tour with Megadeth in June, which is so far still a go.
