Nuclear BlastKillswitch Engage singer Jesse Leach lends his vocals to a new song from Machine Head called “Stop the Bleeding.”
The cut appears on a new, two-track Machine Head single called Civil Unrest, along with a tune called “Bulletproof.” Both songs were written in response to the deaths of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery.
“After what happened to George Floyd, I sent [Leach] the lyrics I’d written, and he replied saying he was ‘100 percent on board,'” recalls Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn of “Stop the Bleeding.”
“Jesse is someone I consider to be a pioneer and, in many ways, one of the men who changed the face of metal,” Flynn continues. “His contribution to this song made it extremely powerful and it’s an honor to have him be a part of it.”
You can download Civil Unrest now via digital outlets. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Grassroots Law Project, which is representing Floyd, Arbery and Breonna Taylor.
