A Florida doctor is in hot water after not wearing his hearing aid and failing to hear his colonoscopy patient screaming in pain. Gastroenterologist Dr. Ishwari Prasad has since been placed on probation by the state for his actions at the Tampa Ambulatory Surgery Center in June of last year. Apparently, the patient wasn’t sedated properly when Prasad inserted the scope. The patient “began to yell and shouted that he was in pain and could still feel everything.” (Newser)
