Tesla Vehicle In Space Mistaken For Asteroid

Astronomers thought they had discovered a new asteroid…but it was just a Tesla Roadster Elon Musk had launched into space in 2018. The vehicle was spotted on January 2nd by scientists at the Minor Planet Center in Massachusetts. While it was originally logged as an asteroid, the entry was deleted the next day. The roadster was expected to orbit the sun and head back toward earth, but seems to have made it to the asteroid belt. (Fox News)
