A Nashville mom named Cari Hollis lost her 26-year-old son Austin two years ago. He was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray — and a registered organ donor.
Last Saturday, she finally got to meet two of the people he saved. One woman received Austin’s lungs. She had been given months to live before that call came. A man received his liver — he says he was within hours of death.
Where did they all meet for the first time? Arthur Murray. Austin’s favorite place. And they learned the Bachata — his favorite dance to teach.
Cari is still hoping to connect with other recipients and is already making plans to visit the families she’s found.
