The clip is officially the longest music video of all time, clocking in a total run time of 177 days, 16 hours, 10 minutes and 25 seconds.
Since its premiere in June, the video has been uploading a continuous stream of fan-submitted content as “Level of Concern” played indefinitely until it finally came to an end December 16. Twenty One Pilots announced the conclusion of a project with a skit in which drummer Josh Dun accidentally unplugs a “mini server” that kept the footage going.
In a tweet celebrating the world record, the duo writes, “Since Josh accidentally pulled the plug on the never-ending video for ‘Level of Concern,’ Guinness checked out the stats and declared it officially the longest video ever. Congratulations, you did it.”
“Level of Concern” is one of two new songs Twenty One Pilots released in 2020, along with the original holiday tune “Christmas Saves the Year.” Their most recent album is 2018’s Trench.
