Researchers from Linköping University found that our political views might even influence the chocolate we eat. The Swedish team told 800 participants to rate eight chocolate brands, and then one group was told that people from an opposing political party preferred a certain brand. Participants who believed an opposing political party enjoyed a particular chocolate gave that chocolate a lower rating. “It’s less about you associating with what your own side likes and more about avoiding what’s liked by the opposing side,” Arvid Erlandsson said. “This contributes to a more polarized society.” (Study Finds)
