A major winter storm blanketed the Greater Cincinnati area over the weekend, making roads nearly impassable and complicating emergency response efforts. On Sunday afternoon, an Ohio Department of Transportation snow plow driver stepped in to help, escorting an ambulance and other first responders through the snow.
ODOT shared video showing the snow plow leading the ambulance as it transported a baby, Bryson, to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. With many vehicles unable to move, the escort ensured the medical team could reach the hospital safely.
The snow plow driver, Joe Estes, later reunited with the transport team and downplayed his role. “By no means am I the hero,” he said. “Hope everything works out for the best.”
Officials confirmed that Bryson is doing well at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
