Credit: Johan CarlenBack in the fall of 2018, Avatar announced they were making a narrative film based on their latest album, Avatar Country. Now, the movie is here for all to see.
Legend of Avatar Country: A Metal Odyssey is streaming now on YouTube. The 44-minute film tells the story of a magical land that’s saved by the power of metal.
The Swedish band funded A Metal Odyssey through Kickstarter, meeting its goal in just 90 minutes.
“The mighty tale of your favorite band and their adventures in Avatar Country, made possible through the backing and support of our beloved Citizens!” Avatar says of the film.
Following a European tour, Avatar will be back in the U.S. in July to play a number of festivals, including Rock USA and Rock Fest.
