ABC/Randy HolmesA new Deftones record is coming, and drummer Abe Cunningham has offered the sneakiest of peeks of what it sounds like.
During an Instagram Live session this week, Cunningham briefly played a new guitar riff from the upcoming album, which, if we may be so bold, sounds pretty heavy.
“I’m gonna stop that before I get in trouble” Cunningham said after sharing a few seconds of the riff.
The new album, the follow-up to 2016’s Gore, has been in the works for some time. It’s currently in the mixing phase as the band members wait for a safe time to reunite in person amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
