A Southwest Airlines flight turned into something special last week. A 2-year-old boy named Cruz had just been declared cancer free after battling stage 4 Neuroblastoma. His family had been traveling back and forth from California to New York for nearly a year of treatment. When the flight crew found out, they announced it over the PA and invited everyone on board to celebrate. Passengers started writing notes to Cruz — congratulations, encouragement, love. And in the middle of it all, the little guy summed it up perfectly. He said, “I’m strong. They’re talking about me — I’m strong.” Yes they are, buddy. Yes they are.
